Galilee, Hula Valley
The Galilee region is the far most northern periphery of Israel (see map). The Galilee Region, shown on the map, covers approximately 2,000 km² and about 180,000 citizens. It is bounded in the south by the broad Jezreel Valley and by the political boundary with Lebanon. It runs from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Golan Heights massif and the Jordan River in the east, Syria, and Jordan beyond.
